A handcrafted 100% tin katakuchi that softens the taste of your sake. Tradition and craftsmanship from Takaoka Toyama, Japan.
This small katakuchi is crafted entirely from pure tin by 能作 NOUSAKU, a renowned metal casting studio founded in 1916 in Takaoka, Toyama.
Takaoka has over 400 years of metalworking history, and NOUSAKU continues this tradition while pioneering modern craftsmanship—most notably by developing the world’s first 100% tin tableware in 2003.
Tin has long been valued in Japan for its natural antibacterial properties and its ability to mellow the sharpness of alcohol. Simply pour your sake into this vessel and enjoy a smoother, rounder flavor.
Beyond sake, this versatile piece can also be used for dressings, sauces, or small appetizers, adding a refined touch to your table.
